These are the two flagship cars of there respective companies and are usually the top selling vehicles for their companies as well. The Accord was first sold in the United States in 1976 and is currently in its 8th generation stating in 2008. The Camry was introduced in 1982 and is in its 7th generation.

 

Hybrid Option

The Honda Accord V-6 was available with a hybrid option for the 2006 and 2007 model years. It no longer offers this option. The Toyota Camry introduced an hybrid version in 2006 and currently still offers on.

The 2009 sales are as follows:

Honda Accord: Just under 288,000 units

Toyota Camry: Just under 357,000 units

 

Racing Affiliation

Honda makes all the engines for the Indy Car Circut and Toyota is involved in NASCAR.
